When Usain Bolt set the 100m world record of 9.58 seconds, his average speed was 23.35 mph and his top speed was 27.79 mph. The cheetah has by the fastest land speed of any animal. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in three seconds and has a top speed of 70-75 mph. Where to watch it Cheetah are elusive, but can be spotted in Tanzania, Namibia, Zambia, Botswana and Kenya. Expert Africa offers a variety of wildlife safaris, including trips to the Okonjima camp in Namibia, where visitors can expect to see big cats - including cheetah - at close range. The company says cheetah sightings are also possible at the Cape's Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Zambia's Busanga Plains, or Tanzania's Ruaha and Serengeti areas.
